German police hunt stolen trailer full of chocolate

Police say a semi-trailer filled with chocolate has been stolen in a small central German city and are calling on witnesses who might have seen the candy-toothed thieves.

Police spokesman Martin Ahlich stated Tuesday the cooled truck trailer contained 20 metric tons (22 tons) of chocolate together with Kinder Shock eggs, Nutella hazelnut-chocolate cream and Valparaiso chocolate fruit pearls.

Ahlich stated the trailer was stolen within the Hesse city of Neustadt on the weekend and that the thieves should have introduced in a truck to haul away the candy spoils.

He stated that, “it isn’t even clear in the event that they have been after the sweets or after the trailer — at this level we do not know what their motive was.”

The chocolate swag is value 50,000-70,000 euros ($fifty nine,000-eighty two,000).
