Connecticut State Police say an officer fatally shot a suspect who refused orders to drop a shotgun.
Police say the capturing occurred Monday night in New Milford. In accordance with authorities, New Milford police responded to a disturbance name at a house.
Police say a person left the house holding a shotgun and refused to speak to officers earlier than operating into the woods. Police tried to get the suspect to return out of the woods. Authorities say the person walked out of the woods and approached officers with the shotgun.
Police say an officer fired and struck the suspect after he refused to drop the gun.
The suspect was taken to a hospital the place he was pronounced lifeless.
Police haven’t launched the id of the suspect.
