Susan Sarandon to receive upstate NY film festival award


Susan Sarandon will obtain the Maverick Award at an annual movie pageant in New York’s Hudson Valley.

Organizers of the Woodstock Movie Pageant say the star of such movies as “Thelma and Louise” and “Bull Durham” will obtain the award through the Oct. eleven-15 occasion. She additionally will display “Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story” for which she was government producer.

Sarandon will obtain the award Oct. 14 throughout a ceremony at Backstage Studio Productions in Kingston, one of many host communities of the pageant.
