UC Berkeley chief counsel killed in hit-and-run while biking


Officers say the chief counsel for the College of California, Berkeley was killed whereas biking by a driver who fled.

Sonoma County’s coroner stated Monday that fifty nine-yr-previous Christopher Patti died instantly when he was hit Sunday morning on the aspect of a freeway in Guerneville (GURN’-vihl).

The California Freeway Patrol says that officers on Monday are in search of the driving force of the black BMW who did not cease after hitting Patti.

Witnesses inform officers that Patti had stopped on his bicycle and was standing about 20 ft off the street when the driving force of the BMW apparently misplaced management and bumped into him.

UC Berkeley stated in a press release that Patti had a spouse and two sons.

Chancellor Carol Christ says Patti was sensible and compassionate, and the campus is grief-stricken.
